Terms and Conditions
Booking and Payment:
- A 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. We understand that plans can change,
- The remaining 70% must be paid no later than 30 days before the scheduled tour departure date. Unless otherwise agreed upon with Down Under Safaris.
Cancellation Fees:
- Cancellation 30 or more days before the departure date: No additional fees beyond the non-refundable deposit.
- Cancellation between 8 and 29 days before the departure date: Incurs a 50% cancellation fee.
- Cancellation between 2 and 7 days before the departure date: Incurs a 75% cancellation fee.
- Cancellation within 48 hours of the departure date: Incurs a 100% cancellation fee.
Payment:
- Currencies and Payments: We accept payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard), debit card, or bank transfer. All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
- Payment Methods:
- Credit Card: We accept credit card payments for your convenience. A 2% surcharge applies to credit card transactions.
- Debit Card: Debit card payments are accepted without any additional fees.
- Bank Transfer: Direct bank transfer is our preferred method of payment. It’s the fastest and most cost-effective option for both you and us. Our bank details will be provided upon booking confirmation.
- Security: Your financial information is protected. We use secure payment gateways to process all credit card and debit card transactions.
- Deposits: To secure your booking, a deposit of 30% of the total tour cost in AUD is required. This deposit is due at the time of booking.
- Payment Schedule: The remaining balance for your tour in AUD is due 30 days before your tour departure date. We will send you a reminder email with the exact due date.
- Confirmation: Once we receive your payment (deposit or full amount), you will receive a confirmation email with your booking details.
Exceptions and Refunds:
We understand that unexpected situations can arise. In some cases, a full or partial refund may be offered beyond the stated policy, especially if we can fill the cancelled spot on your tour with another customer. We will work with you to find a solution whenever possible.
Additionally, we recognise the ongoing concern with COVID-19. If you are unable to travel due to verifiable COVID-19 related issues (positive test, travel restrictions), we will consider your request for rebooking or a credit towards a future tour on a case-by-case basis.
Please note: Refunds or alternative tour dates are offered at the discretion of Down Under Safaris, taking into account third-party suppliers’ refund policies and operational constraints.
